I agree with Sister Bailey ^ in that you just did hit the points dead on...I am to be a new hijabi soon InshaAllah, and this is the food for thought I do need to be hearing when in doubt or hesitance when I'm caught up in meeting my cultural barriers sometimes, this is real support. The Prophet told us that we should be moderate and look presentable. That means we should aim to look our best and let our confident shine through. Then again there are those days when you just don't feel like putting an effort into dressing nicely lol.
