The shadow moves forward in the dim light, accompanied with short bursts of music. A flurry of something not unlike pixie dust tags along behind him, forming words and blowing them apart. In a scene just slightly reminiscent of the “Supplication” music video, he stands, hands at side and head down. The speckles fly about, encircling him.

This is Sami Yusuf’s new music video, “You Came to Me” (a new release from the upcoming new album Without You) just in time for Ramadan. It certainly has a different flavor than the previous five music videos he has recorded. There is only him, without the dozen extras, and it is filmed in just two locations, cutting back and forth between them. The simplicity , the dream-like “fairy-dust” and the blue-infused forest scenes give an elegant tone to the video. This combined with, as always, the love for Muhammad (SAW) and Allah (SWT) throughout the lyrics will definitely make this new Ramadan music video a quick favorite.
