Fashionably Freezing

Yes, I know, it is absolutely freezing! If you’re like me, you are not a fan of this weather. However, just because it is cold outside, it doesn’t mean we don’t put effort into our appearance. We actually have more options in the winter. My one and only favorite thing about winter is finding new ways to layer up with different items, colors, prints and textures. Typically I wear 2-3 layers everyday. One of my must-haves on a daily basis is a full sleeves turtleneck shirt to wear underneath; it really keeps me warm. Here are three ways I stay fashionably freezing with some of the latest winter trends!

1. Jackets on Jackets

I don’t think you would believe me when I tell you how many layers I’m wearing. I wore this to a day spent in the city and it definitely kept me warm! I was wearing my basic turtleneck underneath. I then paired a Zara parka on top. I belted it to give it some flare and fit since everything I’m wearing is loose. I then topped it off with this black oversized Zara jacket. For my hijab, Im even wearing 3 layers! Im wearing a black cap to keep everything in place. I wrapped a black hijab to keep my ears warm and then I loosely pinned my floral hijab on top. I even added a gray scarf for some more character. Not only was this look warm, but so comfortable!

2. Furrr Statement

This is definitely for a going out look. I paired a sweater with this fur vest, which was super warm (although I still wore another jacket on top when I was outside) and for some flash I added a statement necklace. Statement necklaces can even be worn on top of a jacket too, which sparkles up a dull winter jacket!

3. Soft Grays

I am in love with light grays and pinks this winter. The winter time is so harsh when outside but when looking from my window there is a certain softness that I can’t explain. Grays and pinks just capture that essence. Here I am wearing a short motto jacket with a cape sweater on top. I of course am wearing some layers underneath to keep me warm!
