I was sitting in the waiting room at the doctor’s office when I noticed this beautiful couple sitting across from me. The lady and I were the two most covered-up women in the place! As you can see, she was wearing a Christian headcovering and a cross necklace, while I was wearing a hijab, the both of us with our arms and legs covered in the 90-degree heat. This morning, I awoke to quite a few emails from MuslimGirl.net readers, especially concerning the hijab. I’ve decided to respond to the following email I received because, well, it was the least harsh, and it contains a number of assumptions Americans have of the hijab.
