With long, loose, modest attire dominating the catwalk this season. Updating your summer wardrobes to meet the Fall trends criteria, this upcoming winter, will be a breeze for all us muslimah fashionistas out there!

I have found shed-loads of designers sending their models strutting down the runways with modest ensembles, all of which are stylish, chic, and most importantly, very Muslim-friendly.

These modest get-ups are cropping up everywhere, and here are the best of the bunch:

After I saw this dreamy “Luisa Beccaria” ensemble pictured in my latest copy of the Autumn/Winter Vogue catwalk report, I fell IN LOVE! [...]

I absolutely love looking feminine, I always have ever since I was young. Pink girly and frilly things have always appealed to me. Whether it manifested itself in a pinafore dress or a hello kitty pencil case, I always thought that all girls shared this same love of feminine styling as me, until I discovered that quite a few girls rejected feminine looks or thought they wouldn’t suit them!
However, a lot of girls who aren’t very feminine in their dress would like to be so. But where to start? That’s where I come in. [...]

The cool kids over at StyleIslam have put together a package of gorgeous desktop backgrounds featuring vectors of young muslim women wearing the hijab. There are seven different wallpapers, and each one displays a Muslimah with a unique style or appearance. Personally, when I saw these wallpapers, I felt so inspired by them and reminded that a hijabi can look fierce the modest way. Keeping them as your desktop and seeing them everyday will definitely give you a boost in the pride, confidence, and strength you already have as a young woman wearing the hijab.
Each wallpaper comes in five different [...]

A combination of lose shirts, cardigans, and skirts can make any dress modest in no time.

Right: Put to use a mini-skirt! How many have you skipped through your shopping endeavors? Not anymore. Find some that cover your thighs, match it with a lose shirt, and accessorize to pull it all together. Be sure to wear loose enough pants!
Left: A revealing shirt put to halal use (on a side note, I think I should upgrade my sense of humor as well). If the top is long and lose enough, you can easily cover the arms with a [...]

Sometimes you have to turn things down a notch and go to an informal gathering. Mixing up the trend of skirts and making it hijab friendly with a pair of jeans can take you right out of the mall into the mosque for prayer. Add a few flashy accessories and finish with a patterned hijab to make this look fabulous.

Lately, a lot of runways and notable female celebs have been rocking “feminized” mens’ suits. It definitely works for a classic look, and there is no better time to wear the get-up than on a night out with friends and family. With a few extra touches, it’s easy to make the outfit modest. Check out this combination of a sassy black outfit with pink or gray accessories. Loose black dress pants and a tuxedo jacket makes this outfit modest, and make use of a cute minidress that otherwise wouldn’t be hijab-friendly. The subtle touch of pink brings out that feminine [...]

From brightly-colored sleeveless dresses to tank tops and miniskirts, it seems almost impossible for us Muslim women to follow today’s fashion trends. But just because we don’t adhere to society’s outlook on fashion, doesn’t mean we can’t have any of our own. In fact, the style that we often probably pay attention to the most is the style and appearance of our hijab.  There are many ways we could spice up the look of our hijabs and still appear modest.  One of these ways is through color and decorative designs. Nowadays, it is possible for many to obtain hijabs in a wide variety of [...]
