A common struggle most Muslim girls face is keeping their hair healthy and in great condition despite it being covered. Many people tend to assume that hijabis don’t pay as much attention to their hair as other women do. But the fact of the matter is that we do get to flaunt our hair every once in a while during family get togethers, women-only events and such, and we even like to keep it looking and feeling pretty if we’re just chilling at home. This is why I’ve decided to [...]

I absolutely love looking feminine, I always have ever since I was young. Pink girly and frilly things have always appealed to me. Whether it manifested itself in a pinafore dress or a hello kitty pencil case, I always thought that all girls shared this same love of feminine styling as me, until I discovered that quite a few girls rejected feminine looks or thought they wouldn’t suit them!
However, a lot of girls who aren’t very feminine in their dress would like to be so. But where to start? That’s where I come in. [...]

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that Prophet Muhammad said, “There are two types among the people of Hell whom I have not yet seen. The first are people who have whips like the tails of oxen, with which they beat people, and the second are women who are naked in spite of being dressed; they will be led astray and will lead others astray, and their heads will look like camels humps. These women will not enter Paradise; they will not even experience the faintest scent of it, even though the fragrance of Paradise can be perceived from such a [...]

A combination of lose shirts, cardigans, and skirts can make any dress modest in no time.

Right: Put to use a mini-skirt! How many have you skipped through your shopping endeavors? Not anymore. Find some that cover your thighs, match it with a lose shirt, and accessorize to pull it all together. Be sure to wear loose enough pants!
Left: A revealing shirt put to halal use (on a side note, I think I should upgrade my sense of humor as well). If the top is long and lose enough, you can easily cover the arms with a [...]

Sometimes you have to turn things down a notch and go to an informal gathering. Mixing up the trend of skirts and making it hijab friendly with a pair of jeans can take you right out of the mall into the mosque for prayer. Add a few flashy accessories and finish with a patterned hijab to make this look fabulous.
