The shadow moves forward in the dim light, accompanied with short bursts of music. A flurry of something not unlike pixie dust tags along behind him, forming words and blowing them apart. Sami Yusuf is an international icon for his positive contributions to music, but he is recognized even more dearly by Muslims for his inspiring nasheeds. He has performed countless concerts in every part of the world, performed for a Gaza fundraiser last winter, and has recently become the youngest person to ever receive an honorary doctorate from Roehampton University in London, masha’Allah.
